This is me being dignified as I eat a weed. (note the crossed paws.) Manners, everyone!!

Corrie and I get along. She is very kind to me, although I see her rolling her eyes sometimes when I do something wrong.

Me looking purrrrty little!

This is my dog nanny, John Davis.

When he rides his bike up to take care of me I like to eat his tires.

This is John posing with the poop scooper. Scooping poop is a verry important part of John's job.

This is me in my favorite place outside; the ivy.

The Dog Nanny

Hi Everybody. It's me. Elvis. I told Sue I would like to write to my friends from now on.

Did you know I am getting bigger! Yes. I am. I had gained a pound when we visited the vet on Thursday. Now I weigh 13.6 pounds. (I also fell out of the car when we were going to the Vet. Not when it was moving!! But Sue did not have my crate securely locked and when she walked into the garage I was sitting on the floor like "How did I get HERE???????????" Sue felt awful. I survived.

My favorite place to play is in the ivy off of our back porch...I jump over the ferns and hop like a bunny. The ivy is taller than I am!

Elvis Bags a Big One

So much for being a spoiled suburban goldendoodle. This afternoon Elvis went on a backyard safari and brought home this trophy. The thing squeaks in both its head and its tail so it is perfect for a puppy whose only real accomplishment thus far in life is doo dooing where he's supposed to and NOT in the house or crate. We're batting a thousand, here :-)

Housebreaking in the rain...

So I took him outside at 9:30 last night, knowing he had not poopt since he got home. I knew it was sprinkling, but figured if I turned around to get an umbrella it would confuse him. SO: by the time we got to the "Poop Spot" it started pouring.
Elvis loved the rain and was playing and racing around, and laid down in the wet grass. Meanwhile I crouched under a tree (any port in the storm) thinking that what was cute at 2:30 in the afternoon sun was NOT cute in a downpour at 9:30 at night.
I waited and waited and waited while Elvis frolicked. I was freezing.
After fifteen minutes he had STILL not poopt so I took him back inside. I towled him off (waaay to cute) and as I slid him back into his crate I told him: "I don't get up until 7 a.m."
3:45 a.m: He cried. Took him out again. He peed but STILL did not poop.
6:45 a.m: He cried. Took him out again. Peed, but still no luck with the you-know-what.
7:00 a.m: Gave him breakfast which he wolfed down.
9:00: Elvis "The King" Presley Rooke FINALLY poops two HUUUUUGE ones at "The Spot."
Never thought poop would become such an important part of my life, but it has.

Elvis has visitors.

The Long family dropped in to welcome Elvis...

And they wore him out which made me verrrry happy!!

I hope he's as happy as I am!

Getting tired. (both of us!)

Meeting Corrie...Eventually they were romping in the back yard.
Going home. He slept the whole way and didn't cry!!

While everyone else was playing, Elvis crawled under a chair and took a nap.

Settling in, but leaving my brothers and sisters!!

Elvis is in the building...

So, this is Elvis!! Waaaay cute. No question which one he would be.

And this is Ben doing "pre puppy cheese ball therapy." Notice that he is not cramming for the "Puppy Exam." He has made it clear that this is MY project. Scary!

This is me doing "pre puppy cheese ball therapy" on the back porch.
Cramming for the "Puppy Exam..."

Getting ready for Elvis

Puppies: which one will be Elvis???

Tomorrow's the big day! We pick Elvis out at 10:00. The question is, which one of these four puppies will he be?

Barb Clardy, the breeder, sent this photo and I've been staring at it for two weeks now.

I'm sort of scared, but really excited. I guess the real question is: Am I crazy??? And that remains to be seen. Stay tuned!
